Customers in the automotive and aviation fastener industry often require 100% inspection of all products. A range of inspection techniques are used to check the product size and shape, presence of cracks, head shape, thread condition and other parameters. Upstream processes may have caused damage to the thread so there is often a need to reroll the thread before inspection. Packing the products immediately after inspection prevents subsequent damage or contamination.
