Some of our customers need equipment to handle bolts ranging from, for example, M6 x 15 to M24 x 180 and various pack sizes. Traditionally, it has been difficult to process such a large range on a single line as different types of product feeders are required for large and small fasteners. As a result plants use several machines, with different size ranges, in parallel. This is inefficient and costly. It also results in higher maintenance costs.
Analysis
We analysed the fastener sizes most commonly packed by our customers and then determined that this size range means that two different faster feeders are required.
Solution
We developed a special hybrid weighing/counting unit with a roller fine feeder for larger fasteners and a finger fine feeder for smaller fasteners.
Machine
The hybrid unit handles a much larger size range than conventional equipment. It starts filling by weight and then finishes by counting, to combine high speed with high accuracy.

A line with a large range of sizes can replace several lines with restricted size ranges. This reduces the capital outlay and the space required in your plant. You can easily change over to any size fastener in the range and the line processes both nuts and bolts.
